Four new names on Hollyoaks…
Hollyoaks bosses have announced the castings of four new stars including the returns of two long-time faces that haven’t been seen in Chester for years. DAVINIA TAYLOR, who originally joined Hollyoaks in 1996 as Cindy’s sister Jude Cunningham, will be reprising the role in the months ahead for a major new storyline to screen later this year. Jude was last seen fleeing the village after a jewellery heist went awry in 1998. Also, ASHLEY SLANINA
DAVIES is coming back to the soap as her fan-favourite character Amy Barnes. This time, however, Amy is returning permanently, unlike in the past when she only made guest appearances. SLANINA
DAVIES originally played Amy from 2005-2012. Meanwhile,
DUNCAN JAMES, best known as a member of UK band sensation Blue, is joining the show as Ryan, “a grounded family man with principles and integrity” who moves to town with his family. Finally, the village’s police force is to welcome a new member now that ANDREW HAYDENSMITH has signed onto the show. He’ll play the “young and eager” DS Armstrong.
