Days’ head writer switch

Soap World - - THE GOSS! -

Mere months after changing its writing regime, Days of Our Lives has announced that co-head writer DENA HIGLEY has been fired and replaced by Emmy-winning scribe RON CARLIVATI, effective immediately. No reason has been given for the switch, with the show only confirming in a statement that “we look forward to the fresh and compelling stories the changes will bring to Salem”. Carlivati has an excellent résumé of daytime writing to his credit, having racked up hugely successful head-writing stints on General Hospital and One Life to Live. As for Higley’s co-head writer, RYAN QUAN, he will remain with the show as co-creative consultant.

The Days cast can look forward to lots of ”fresh and compelling stories” with its new top writer.
