Will ex-lovers reunite?
Mark and Paige were once so in love that they had planned to marry. But since a tragedy of errors ended their relationship at the very aisle they were about to walk down they have moved on. But now that they are back under the same roof and each struggling emotionally, could they end up back in one another’s arms?
Pregnant Paige (Olympia Valance) is living with Mark (Scott McGregor) and Aaron (Matt Wilson) now that Brad and Lauren have moved to Queensland. She is also dealing with the fact that Jack (Andrew Morley), the man she loves, can only give limited emotional support as the father of the baby because he remains committed to being a priest.
On the other hand, Mark is grieving the loss of his unborn baby daughter and his unrequited feelings for Sonya (Eve Morey). Having Paige’s company must be a welcome distraction and he’s been jumping to Paige’s aid for any concern.
There is so much history between these two and a deep friendship but is it developing into something more? Elly (Jodi Anasta) starts to wonder that very thing when she catches the pair in an intimate moment.
If romance once again blossoms between the two it would provide both with the love and support they need right now. Paige is feeling increasingly alone in her pregnancy and extra care from Mark in the form of a loving partner might ease that pain.
Given Paige is close to giving birth and Jack is not a live-in dad, Mark might also get the one thing he’s always wanted. The three of them could easily become a family and give each other everything they need.
But is Elly reading too much into what she has seen? And is there still romantic love between Paige and Mark? Whether or not there is enough emotion for a long-term relationship, the fact is there is plenty of heat between them to lead to something happening, now that they are living in close quarters.
