A twist of fate
Elias IS FINALLY READY TO TELL THE Habibs AND O’Neills THAT HE’S IN LOVE WITH Madi BUT SHE HAS A SURPRISE IN STORE
Like classic star-crossed lovers, Elias and Madi are torn between their warring families and their feelings for each other. And just when Elias has the courage to try again it seems Madi has other plans.
The pair fell for each other amidst the chaos of Madi’s (Georgia Flood) mother Olivia (Helen Dallimore) and Elias’s (Tyler De Nawi) father Fou Fou (Michael Denkha) battling each other for neighbourhood supremacy. They then started carrying on their romance in secret.
Layla (Kat Hoyos) was the only other person in the know despite Madi’s attempts to get Elias to reveal the truth to his family. Elias feared his father’s wrath because not only is Madi someone Fou Fou would never approve of, she’s also his enemy’s daughter.
Madi wanted to bring their relationship into the open but when Elias refused to man up and come clean she broke up with him. However, it’s clear both are still head over heels for each other but neither will admit it.
Soon, enough is enough and Elias decides it’s time to declare his affections for Madi once and for all and he wants to do it while everyone’s enjoying a day at the beach. The timing instantly proves difficult, with Fou Fou and Olivia once again getting into a feud — only now it’s in public.
But nothing ruins Elias’s new-found courage more than the person Madi brings along to the beach with her. And that’s her new boyfriend Kanye (Pacharo Mzembe). He’s a strapping six-foot-tall African Adonis who instantly puts an end to Elias’s plans.
Does Kanye mean Madi has moved on already? Or could he just be a distraction from the heartbreak of splitting with Elias? Either way it looks like Elias has some competition on his hands.
HERE COME THE HABIBS MONDAYS AT 8PM ON NINE Elias (Tyler De Nawi) is crazy about Madi (Georgia Flood) and he thought she felt the same way. But now she seems to have other plans. Are they just a distraction?
