Here comes the showdown
OUR HERO Koen IS STEPPING UP HIS BATTLE TO END THE BLOODSHED BUT HIS BROTHER Waruu WANTS TO MAKE IT A FIGHT TO THE DEATH
Koen is ready to take the fight to those destroying the Hairy people and he won’t stop until there’s peace. But Waruu has a weapon that could kill Koen and won’t hesitate to use it.
It’s taken some time for Koen (Hunter Page-Lochard) to finally get to a place where he can fully embrace his Cleverman powers and the responsibility that the title holds. But thanks to Uncle Jimmy’s (Jack Charles) teaching he has actually progressed to the point where he can bring someone back from the dead.
Armed with a new confidence, Koen now even dresses like a new-age superhero. He wants justice and harmony but the government is hell bent on stripping the Hairies of their unique features via chemicals.
Waruu (Rob Collins) is leading this initiative believing it’s the only way to stop the discrimination facing Hairies. He also remains desperate to avenge the loss of not only the Cleverman title but the authority over his community and the love of his family.
For him Koen is the reason he is in this position and now that he knows the red sap he found at Uncle Jimmy’s house can make Koen mortal, Waruu believes he has the upper hand.
And he might soon have a chance to try the weapon when Jarli (Clarence Ryan) risks bloodshed to reclaim his people’s land. Sensing violence, Koen distracts the officers and demands a treaty.
Though Waruu agrees, not all is as it seems because the brothers are soon face to face and Waruu is holding a knife covered in the red sap. It seems the showdown is finally on.
Brothers Koen (Hunter Page-Lochard) (left) and Waruu (Rob Collins) face each other in a deserted space as Waruu wields a knife.
