A WILD NIGHT OUT COULD END IN TRAGEDY FOR RJ AND Coco WHEN COCO MAKES A THOUGHTLESS MISTAKE
At long last, teenage lovebirds Coco and RJ finally feel ready to take their relationship public as they make it official on social media and share a passionate kiss. To celebrate the milestone, RJ surprises her with his father’s classic convertible car. They’re going for the ride of a lifetime!
With night approaching, Coco (Courtney Grosbeck) enthuses about her coolest boyfriend ever as they cruise the streets of LA in blissful ignorance of everything around them. Stopping to admire the view and take playful selfies, RJ (Anthony Turpel) and Coco take to the back seat to kiss before RJ offers to let Coco drive.
Jumping into the driver’s seat, Coco quickly tries to share her exuberance on social media but the move is a massive mistake.
Encountering an approaching car, a distracted Coco finally swerves to miss it but ends up crashing the vehicle. In the wreckage on the roadside, a bleeding RJ lies unconscious as Coco shakily calls 911 to cry, “I can’t wake him up.” Sirens are soon blaring as the two are rushed to hospital. A frightened Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is soon alerted and joins Coco, who must endure intense questioning over the incident.
Bill (Don Diamont) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) join the vigil and suspect that the brakes failed, then Coco admits she was driving. Everyone is horrified as Coco carefully omits the texting incident. However, her nervousness makes Brooke suspicious and she determines to get to the truth.
Unfortunately, Coco’s angst only increases when Lieutenant Baker (Dan Martin) arrives to investigate and he and Brooke play hardball to find out what caused the devastating accident. Giving in to her guilt, Coco wonders if she can risk telling the truth if it means being prosecuted and declared a criminal.
