A CROWDED MARRIAGE
Linda Carter’s prolonged absence from her husband Mick’s life has left him scrambling to keep his house and life together. Caught in the middle of his children’s problems and the ultimate loss of ownership of his beloved Queen Vic pub through his lack of financial acumen, Mick has relied on a dangerous source for comfort – his daughter-in-law Whitney, whose feelings for Mick have grown since her marriage to Lee collapsed.
They ended up sharing a passionate kiss only for Whitney to be thrown out upon Shirley’s discovery that she corrupted her son. Now, Whitney is back and happily engaged to former Vic manager Woody, whom a jealous Mick evicted after finding him and Whitney in his bed. Struggling with the wedding announcement, Mick wrestles with his illicit feelings, finally summoning Linda back home permanently.
At first oblivious to her husband’s turmoil, Linda is shellshocked when he confesses. A three-way war erupts between Mick, Linda and Whitney, leading to harsh words and violence. In the end, one person is evicted from the pub while another realises it’s going to be an uphill battle to make amends for what’s happened.
