The quick and the dead
ENEMIES ARE DETERMINED TO DESTROY THE RISEN WHO ARE ALL DESPERATE FOR ANSWERS ABOUT THEIR DEATHS AND RESURRECTIONS
The risen need to watch their backs now that new threats to their safety have emerged. Phil has returned to town with a frightening mission he is determined to complete as Kate, Kirstie, Charlie and John Doe search for answers before time runs out.
Phil (Rob Collins), who has walked away unscathed from a deadly oil rig explosion, isn’t the only Yoorana local to seem unlike his usual self. Sarah (Emily Barclay) is acting out of character as well. She had given birth and lost consciousness shortly after, leading to the possibility that she has actually died and come back to life as well.
And that seems to be the case when Sarah and Phil cross paths and find they have something terrifying in common.
While Sarah struggles with her involvement in their mission, her husband James (Patrick Brammall) is busy keeping the risen safe. He is particularly concerned about Kate’s involvement with her new neighbour Owen (Luke Arnold). The mysterious man has formed quite a bond with Kate (Emma Booth), who was married to James before her death.
But James is also worried about Elishia (Genevieve O’Reilly) who was helping James with the risen when they first emerged. A doctor, Elishia actually died and came back to life four years ago and has been conducting experiments on stem cells.
She fled town but has since returned. Worried Elishia isn’t telling the truth, James and Kate visit the offices of pharmaceutical company Noregard to check her story. Kirstie (Hannah Monson) and Charlie (Sean Keenan) also head off to uncover details about their own lives.
John Doe (Rodger Corser), another of the risen, also wants Elishia to reveal the truth. He’s been roped in to some experiments by Nicola (Pernilla August), head of Noregard.
Nicola will tell John his real name, history and his connection to Elishia if he helps her but her tests are quite brutal. When he remembers his past he becomes more determined than ever to find Elishia and get the truth out of her.
And as shocking revelations come to light Phil starts to carry out his mission with knife in hand. Will Sarah join him?
