Vic­tor AND Nick’s CON­FLICT HAS EX­PLODED INTO LIFE, BUT THE FA­THER HASN’T COUNTED ON HIS SON’S RE­SILIENCE IN THE CUS­TODY CLASH.

Once again, Vic­tor New­man has ru­ined his re­la­tion­ship with one of his kids, a habit that he’s been re­peat­ing over for years. This time he’s su­ing Nick for full cus­tody of Chris­tian, Adam and Sage’s bi­o­log­i­cal son, who Nick’s been rais­ing (at their re­quest) since they died.

At first, Nick (Joshua Mor­row) was con­fused and un­able to un­der­stand why Vic­tor (Eric Brae­den) would at­tack him so vi­ciously and seek to ruin Chris­tian’s life -- es­pe­cially when the lit­tle boy was be­ing raised in a lov­ing and se­cure home! Once the men went to ar­bi­tra­tion, the gloves were off as Vic­tor ul­ti­mately seized on Nick’s ro­man­tic re­la­tion­ship with Sharon (Sharon Case) to do as much dam­age to Nick’s case as is pos­si­ble.

At his wicked worst, Vic­tor had his lawyer dig up all the ugly dirt to do with Sharon’s his­tory of men­tal ill­ness, specif­i­cally the heinous ac­tions she’d of­ten com­mit­ted while in the throes of a bipo­lar dis­or­der break­down. Af­ter the judge heard how Sharon had pre­vi­ously kept quiet about Chris­tian’s true pa­ter­nity for six months – be­fore Nick even­tu­ally found her – it was enough for the court to grant Vic­tor cus­tody.

Nick was in dis­ar­ray as cold-hearted Vic­tor mer­ci­lessly stripped Chris­tian from his arms that same day. De­spite his grief, though, Nick lashed out in anger, de­fi­antly thrash­ing his fa­ther in pub­lic for what he’d done and vow­ing to fight un­til his
