KEF KHT2005 ‘Egg’ 5.1 speakers

Sound+Image - - Second Decade -

We suspect that KEF may be mildy irate that from all of its many achievements in the last 30 years — Codas, Blade, Muon — we’ve picked the ‘Eggs’… But don’t forget how surprising these were on release, at a time when lounges were suffering from a surfeit of black vinyl boxes in every corner. Along came this innovative sub-sat package for shelves and tabletops, looking very much new century, delivering a fine fist of surround sound from the DVD players which launched four years earlier. They’re still with us today, updated, multicoloured and wireless now, and finally officially using the longheld nickname of the ‘Eggs’.
