A DRIVER has landed himself with a court appearance after he ran from police to avoid a random breath test. The 37-year-old Gold Coast man was driving through Nanango on Tuesday night when he was stopped by police. He took off on foot but was chased by officers and caught, and subsequently charged with obstructing police. The man told police he ran because he had been drinking earlier and thought he would be over the limit. A breath test showed no alcohol in his system.
