Tel­stra must lis­ten

IN RE­GARDS to the bat­tle for re­cep­tion (SBT, July 22). I have no cov­er­age from Tel­stra at the north end of Fran­cis Rd. Those sell­ing mo­bile phones should go for a drive in the Tel­stra cov­er­age area. They will be shocked.

The cov­er­age sys­tem is a com­plete dis­grace.

Years ago, Tel­stra had a go at me for not pay­ing monthly bills, so when some­one rang to in­form me I hadn’t paid phone bills for six months, she helped me with good man­ners, un­der­stand­ing the prob­lems I had with cov­er­age. All bills were writ­ten off. It seems if most do not pay mo­bile phone bills due to poor cov­er­age, then some­thing may hap­pen. The cus­tomer has a right to proper cov­er­age.
