Satur­day, ABC, 7.30pm The set-up in­volv­ing a crime-solv­ing Catholic priest might seem novel to some and they’d be right. This quirky Bri­tish se­ries is based on the de­tec­tive nov­els by G. K. Ch­ester­ton, which first hit the shelves in 1911. The char­ac­ter of Fa­ther Brown (played by Mark Wil­liams, also known as Arthur r Weasley from the Harry Pot­ter films) re­mains largely the same, but the cir­cum­stances and sto­ries have been cre­ated to suit to­day’s less stuffy sen­si­bil­i­ties. es. Tonight, Fa­ther Brown takes it upon him­self to in­ves­ti­gate af­ter an old friend dis­ap­pears.
