Your chance to drop in at Senex gas information session

South Burnett Times - - RURAL WEEKLY -

SENEX Western Surat Gas is inviting locals to “drop in” to its project information sessions.

Residents have the opportunity to learn about Senex Energy’s Western Surat Gas Project in a number of sessions hosted in Roma on Wednesday, February 22.

The project, located north-east of Roma, delivers coal seam gas to support growing demand for gas domestically and internationally.

Senex managing director Ian Davies said the company’s appraisal work over the past 18 months reinforced the company’s low-cost, fit-for-purpose development.

“The scale of the project is smaller than other local upstream projects run by the LNG operators,” Mr Davies said.

“Senex will be operating in the Maranoa region for a long time and is committed to building sustainable relationships with the local communities, suppliers and landholders.”

Mr Davies said the information sessions weren’t a strict presentation but would allow residents to interact with Senex staff.

The drop-in sessions follow a workshop hosted by Senex last year for local suppliers wanting to benefit from operations in the Maranoa.

Sessions will include a lunchtime session from 12.30–2pm and an early evening session from 5.30–7pm at the Roma Explorers Inn.
