Water security a feature for Braemore

South Burnett Times - - RURAL WEEKLY -

BRAEMORE Farm is a 279.5hectare (690.64 acres) property positioned five minutes to Karara, 30 minutes to Warwick and 50 minutes to Toowoomba.

The property runs from productive ex lucerne apple tree flats (about 220 acres), gently rising to predominately cleared open ironbark traprock country with no cultivation at present.

But about 200 acres or more could be farmed if required.

The property enjoys three quality water sources.

Back Creek runs through the property, which has numerous reliable waterholes.

Water is pumped via an electric pressure pump, which delivers water to the garden and yards, about 18,000 gallons of rainwater storage and eight stock dams.

There is a licensed 25ML irrigation dam. Water is gravity-fed to a storage dam.

Positioned adjacent is a diesel air-cooled engine and pump, delivering water to hydrants via four and three-inch underground mains. A soft hose travelling irrigator is used to water about 25 acres.

The property is divided into seven grazing paddocks. A large laneway makes stock movement user friendly on both handler and animal.

There is a quality set of timber yards, which has numerous holding pens, excellent drafting gate, undercover crush and timber ramp and is user friendly.

Sheep yards are fitted with sheep pens, race and working area, positioned adjacent to the classic two-stand shearing shed, which is full of history.

The true family home consists of three bedrooms, one bathroom, renovated kitchen adjacent to the family eating area and spacious family lounge TV area.
