LEARNING HIGHLIGHTS IN TERM 4
ST PAT’S has been learning how to cook different dishes like pavlova, Tim Tam balls and mint slice. We have been cooking with the guidance of our amazing teachers and helpful staff.
We have learnt excellent teamwork and great social skills. When we work together, we get great marks. It also helps with further skills in life like cooking and great communication. — Written by Alex Adams, Ruby Alexander, Braxton Wilkins ( Year 5)
IN THE heart of St Patrick’s there is a place that is shaped like a shamrock.
The Shamrock Space is used for celebrations, play time and to remind us of the Anzacs.
It reminds us of the Anzacs because it has a mural of poppies and some rosemary planted above it.
The Shamrock Space features fake grass, inspiring words cemented in the ground, four raised garden beds and a hand- made wooden cross that reminds us of Jesus’ sacrifices.
It also includes some fantastic artwork from local artist Dave White and the students of St Patrick’s. — Written by Jack Marshall, Jaycie Trace, Seth Giles, Sally Robinson ( Year 5)
Our learning space
DURING term four, LG4 has had some amazing classroom renovations, such as blue and green velcro walls, an awesome Zen Zone and also, one of our favourites, flexible seating.
The velcro walls are amazing and helpful because you can easily put stuff on the walls without a struggle.
The Zen Zone is a safe place you can go to if you are sad or stressed. It has stress toys and cushions, along with a tent.
Finally, we have flexible seating which is where you can sit wherever you want without any struggles or fights. — Written by James Speight ( Year 6), Liv Smith, Amelia Smith, Isaac Thomson ( Year 5)
