Nanango, meet your candidates
Deb Frecklington: Hopes to achieve much more
THE South Burnett is my home and where my husband Jason and I chose to raise our family.
I’m proud to have delivered important funding injections for the South Burnett, including new overtaking lanes, $ 10 million for the Kingaroy Water Treatment Plant, and new police stations in Kingaroy and Nanango.
I have also succeeded in securing a new ambulance station in Kingaroy, the refurbishment of the Kingaroy Courthouse and a commitment to a new Kingaroy public hospital.
But there’s still so much more I want to achieve for our communities, including the new areas of the Nanango Electorate such as Murgon, Wondai and Proston.
I want to ensure our region has a real voice in Brisbane, and that we have the best representation possible.
The LNP has a plan to help families get ahead by making electricity cheaper.
We want to fix roads around our region, like the Mundubbera- Durong Road and we will help more young people into work through our apprenticeship boost scheme and by cutting payroll tax.
I will also work to improve access to health services.
Supporting our primary producers to grow our agriculture sector will always be a priority.
In particular, I will ensure our primary producers are heard when it comes to maintaining vegetation management rights. I make it my priority to fight every day to build a better South Burnett and I’ll continue to do this if given the opportunity by the electorate.
