Top apprentices go toe to toe
AMBITIOUS cabinet making and bricklaying and blocklaying students under 24 years of age competed in the Regional WorldSkills competition at South Regional TAFE on Friday.
Competitors were judged by industry experts for the right to compete in the 2018 WorldSkills National Championships in Sydney. Cabinet making students had six hours to construct a project down to the last detail, while the bricklaying and blocklaying students underwent an action-packed “speed test” after they had completed an intricate project. Winners are yet to be announced.
