Brunswick Show to bring clas­sic ac­tion and new sec­tions

SPRING will be cel­e­brated on Satur­day as the LiveLighter Brunswick Show fills the show­grounds with exhibits, events, rides and entertainment.

At 11am, life­time Brunswick Show par­tic­i­pant and in­ter­na­tional flo­ral de­sign com­peti­tor Jean Shine will of­fi­cially open the show.

The Cel­e­brat­ing Spring theme will be found through­out the halls in the crafts, art, veg­eta­bles, flow­ers, de­sign and decor and jams sec­tions, as well as on the grounds in all the tra­di­tional show events in­clud­ing the grand pa­rade at 3pm.

The chips will start to fly for the log chop­ping com­pe­ti­tion from 11am and the horse events will kick off early from 8.30am.

The pop­u­lar Har­vey Beef bon­ing com­pe­ti­tion and the Ital­ian sausage com­pe­ti­tion will also be re­turn­ing for their sec­ond year.

The 86th show will fea­ture new acts and sec­tions in­clud­ing the Aus­traliana arena which will fea­ture bush po­etry, sheep shear­ing, sheep dogs and Queens­land whipcracker Will the Whip, who af­ter the sun sets will take to the stage for a stun­ning dis­play with fire.

Bands and acts on the main stage will en­ter­tain the crowds all day right up to the fire­works at 8pm.
