Cy­cle plan to draw tourists

MEM­BERS of the pub­lic are be­ing en­cour­aged to voice their opin­ions on the draft Bun­bury-Welling­ton 2050 Cy­cling Strat­egy.

The strat­egy is de­signed to es­tab­lish a long-term vi­sion for cre­at­ing a di­rect and in­te­grated cy­cling net­work for the Bun­bury-Welling­ton re­gion, link­ing ac­tiv­ity cen­tres, key at­trac­tions and desti­na­tions to cap­i­talise on the in­creas­ing pop­u­lar­ity of cy­cle-tourism.

Com­ing off the back of the 2012 Greater Bun­bury Re­gional Bi­cy­cle Mas­ter Plan, the Bun­bury-Welling­ton 2050 Cy­cling Strat­egy is one of three re­gional strate­gies be­ing for­malised.

The two oth­ers are the LeeuwinNat­u­ral­iste and Ger­ald­ton 2050 Cy­cling Strate­gies.
