Cycle plan to draw tourists
MEMBERS of the public are being encouraged to voice their opinions on the draft Bunbury-Wellington 2050 Cycling Strategy.
The strategy is designed to establish a long-term vision for creating a direct and integrated cycling network for the Bunbury-Wellington region, linking activity centres, key attractions and destinations to capitalise on the increasing popularity of cycle-tourism.
Coming off the back of the 2012 Greater Bunbury Regional Bicycle Master Plan, the Bunbury-Wellington 2050 Cycling Strategy is one of three regional strategies being formalised.
The two others are the LeeuwinNaturaliste and Geraldton 2050 Cycling Strategies.
Community feedback is being collected until Sunday, July 29 via the Department of Transport website.
