Nix makes tracks to Wolf Pack

For­mer Print Sync South West Slam­mers men’s head coach Charles Nix will lead the Joon­dalup Wolves SBL women’s pro­gram next sea­son.

Nix, an SBL jour­ney­man, guided the Slam­mers men’s pro­gram be­fore coach­ing the Perth Red­backs women this sea­son, and in­sists there is no ill-will be­hind his move to HBF Arena.

“There’s cer­tainly no hard feel­ings at my for­mer club,” he said.

“This is sim­ply the best move for me and my fam­ily and I am ex­cited about the fu­ture and help­ing to grow the fe­male pro­gram at the Wolf Pack.”

In an­other ma­jor coup for the Wolf Pack, they se­cured the ser­vices of Slam­mers guard Ge­or­gia Dene­hey last week.

Dene­hey played 21 games for the Slam­mers in 2018, playing 653 min­utes and shoot­ing 41.35 per cent.

Bulls ace Travis Durnin is av­er­ag­ing 28.5 points per game so far this sea­son.
