Belmont area gets NBN ready
WORKS have started on the NBN network in Belmont, Cloverdale and Kewdale.
More than 8200 eastern suburbs premises will be covered and locals can expect to see contractors digging trenches, installing new pits and testing fibre cables.
The network is expected to be switched on later this year in the new coverage zone.
More than 470,000 premises in WA are already able to switch over to NBN.
“It’s great news for local residents and business owners in these areas who will soon also be able to connect,” WA’s NBN corporate affairs manager Ebony Aitken said.
Further construction catering for another 9300 homes and businesses in Rivervale, Redcliffe and remaining parts of Belmont, Cloverdale and Kewdale is expected to commence in coming months.
