IN the four weeks to April 10, there were 177 lo­cal prop­erty sales across houses, units and land, an in­crease of 13 per cent over the four-week pe­riod.

Com­pared to the same time last year, sales are higher by 19 per cent.

In the over­all Perth mar­ket, sales have in­creased to 2624, a rise of 11 per cent over the four-week pe­riod and 26 per cent higher than the same time last year.

Como tops the list for the high­est num­ber of sales at 30.

Prop­er­ties avail­able for sale in the lo­cal area have de­creased by two per cent over the last four weeks and eight per cent lower than the same time last year.

To­tal list­ings in the Perth metropoli­tan re­gion have res­mained sta­ble over the four­week pe­riod, but are three per cent higher than the same time last year.

The av­er­age time to sell in the lo­cal area has re­mained un­changed at 71 days for the three months to March.

REIWA mem­bers re­ported 451 to­tal prop­er­ties (houses and units) leased for the four­week pe­riod, a de­crease of six per cent over the last four weeks, but 20 per cent higher than the same time last year.

List­ings in the South­ern Gazette area have risen by two per cent in the four-week pe­riod and are 12 per cent higher than the same time last year.

In the over­all mar­ket, list­ings have risen one per cent over the four-week pe­riod and are six per cent higher than the same time last year.

The over­all me­dian weekly rent for the lo­cal area for the three months to March is $350/week, which is $45 lower than the three months to March 2016.

Sim­i­larly, the over­all me­dian rent for Perth has fallen $40 in the three months to March.

Av­er­age time to rent in the lo­cal area re­mained sta­ble at 51 days in the three months to March 2017.
