THE South Perth Li­brary will a hold Words with Wine event on June 14 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. A com­pli­men­tary glass of wine and a se­lec­tion of cheeses, nuts and dried fruit will be pro­vided for guests. The book Ways of Be­ing Here, which is a col­lec­tion of four sto­ries writ­ten by four emerg­ing writ­ers of African de­scent liv­ing in WA, will be the fo­cal point of the night. THE Town of Vic­to­ria Park will hold a free net­work­ing evening at the Bro­ken Hill Ho­tel on June 15 be­tween 5.30pm and 7.30pm. Perth Sta­dium will be pre­sent­ing some in­ter­est­ing facts on the sta­dium and an up­date on the con­struc­tion. The Town hopes the event will spark ideas for busi­ness own­ers about how to cap­i­talise on the in­creased in­ter­est and traf­fic flow in the area. The Town of Vic­to­ria Park is keen to of­fer sup­port to lo­cal busi­ness, so it will be launch­ing its new Busi­ness in the Park e-news­let­ter, along with a suite of small busi­ness train­ing run by Busi­ness Sta­tion. Club on Wed­nes­day, June 14, be­tween 4.30pm and 5.30pm. The Worm Shed will be pre­sent­ing an in­ter­ac­tive ses­sion about worms and kids over 7 can make their own mini-worm farm to keep. BEL­MONT BUSI­NESS EN­TER­PRISE CEN­TRE will run a free work­shop and men­tor­ing ses­sion on Tues­day, June 13, for women plan­ning their re­tire­ment. JACARANDA COM­MU­NITY CEN­TRE will hold a Sing and Grow ses­sion on Wed­nes­day, June 14, at 9.30am. The pro­gram is aimed at chil­dren four and un­der and en­cour­ages devel­op­ment through mu­sic and song. Par­ents and chil­dren are in­vited to come along and make new friends. No book­ings are re­quired.
