SPRING BRINGS OUT THE CROOKS

Southern Gazette (Belmont) - - STREET WATCH -

GENERALLY spring represents a seasonal increase in crime, in particular burglary and theft offences. It is that time we air our houses after a long, cold and wet winter, but we still have a responsibility to keep our windows and doors locked. Your house doesn't have to be Fort Knox, but it should be secure. Outside sensor lights are great - crooks hate being seen. The number of bikes being stolen from unlocked and sometimes completely open garages is on the rise again, so please keep your garage doors down, even when gardening on the weekend.
