KENSINGTON Detectives are still seeking information about a robbery in St James on the afternoon of October 5. At about 3.15pm, the 88-yearold victim was walking south along a footpath on Albany Highway near Wyndham Street when she was approached from behind by a man. He then walked in front of her and attempted to steal a shopping bag that was over her shoulder. The woman held on to the bag, causing her to fall onto the footpath. The man continued to pull at the bag, dragging the woman along the path before eventually obtaining the bag and running away. The woman’s shoulder was dislocated during the incident and she also received a laceration to her leg. She was assisted by members of the public who called St John’s Ambulance. The man is described as being in his early 20’s, fair-skinned, stocky, athletic build, wearing black pants and a black t-shirt. Police would like to speak to anyone that witnessed the incident, saw a man matching the that description, or has dashcam vision of the area during this time.
