‘No’ to rezone plan
TOWN of Victoria Park is opposing a move by the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage to rezone four parcels of land on the border of East Victoria Park and Carlisle.
The site of the land is known as Millers Crossing.
The council voted on November 14 to not support the department and keep the area as green space as part of Amendment 56.
All councillors voted unanimously with Cr Brian Oliver requesting that chief executive Anthony Vuleta contact relevant MPs to let them know of the council’s decision. WAPC will make a final decision about the zoning of the land.
