Cy­cle path up­grades

THE City of South Perth and Town of Vic­to­ria Park will re­ceive $562,500 to up­grade a se­ries of cy­cle paths over the next two years.

The fund­ing, pro­vided through the Perth Bi­cy­cle Net­work and Re­gional Bi­cy­cle Net­work grants pro­grams, aims to as­sist lo­cal gov­ern­ment au­thor­i­ties to plan, de­sign and build im­por­tant cy­cling fa­cil­i­ties for their re­spec­tive com­mu­ni­ties.

“This cash in­jec­tion into WA’s bike net­work will help en­sure in­fra­struc­ture is con­tin­u­ous across lo­cal gov­ern­ment bound­aries and pro­vide en­hanced recre­ational, com­muter and tourism cy­cling ex­pe­ri­ences for res­i­dents and vis­i­tors to WA,” Trans­port Min­is­ter Rita Saf­fi­oti said.
