Airport crew in Descent

Southern Gazette (Belmont) - - FRONT PAGE -

A GROUP of Perth Airport workers are going to take a terrifying leap of faith to raise money for a good cause.

Ashley Zohab, Jordan MacDonald, Nichola O’Brien and Adam Neal will take part in the QV1 Descent, abseiling 160m down the QV1 building to raise money for the Perth Children’s Hospital Fund on April 21.

Mrs O’Brien said she and her family had seen the incredible work done at Princess Margaret Hospital, so conquering her fears was not an issue.

“My sister was born at 27 weeks and spent the first three months of her life in PMH. If it wasn’t for the amazing team there, she wouldn’t be with us today; we are forever grateful,” she said.

“Stepping over the edge I think will be the biggest challenge on the day.”
