CLOVERDALE resident Jess Dunbar will put her fitness to the ultimate test this month as she takes on the 21km half marathon in the Run for a Reason to raise money for Cancer Council WA.
After losing her mother to ovarian cancer when she was young, the now 24year-old knows all too well the importance of raising funds and awareness.
“Mum’s my inspiration for many things in life, including my decision to take on the run and raise as much money I can for Cancer Council WA,” she said.
“Most people know someone who has or has had cancer and others have even lost someone close to them – like me.
“That’s why every cent that goes towards cancer research and supporting those affected is a step in the right direction.”
