Food meats care
How sharing your family roast recipe can help people with dementia.
THE call is out for people to share family roast recipes as part of a dementia awareness campaign, based on the principle the smell of a roast can help with memory recall.
WA service and support organisation Community Vision has an ambitious target of raising $250,000 by December to help pay for a dementia bus to carry tools, equipment and therapy information, to help the thousands of people who care for a loved one with dementia.
The illness is the second leading cause of death behind heart disease in Australia.
Campaign ambassador Rayne Bryant (nee Embley) shared her recipe for a sensational family feast.
Her recipe is in the running to be included in a fundraising recipe book.
