Police presence welcomed at farmers markets
KENSINGTON police were a hit with the locals at the Victoria Park Farmers Market recently.
The police set up a stall with information and were on hand to meet community members.
They also opened up a police van so visitors to the markets could see what it really looked like inside the back of a van.
Kensington Senior Sergeant Ash Goy said they definitely planned to go back again.
“The guys were able to meet local businesses and community members and hear feedback straight from them,” he said.
Seven-year-old Liam Sharp said it was fun to sit in the back of a police van.
“The police were really friendly and it was fun to sit in their car,” he said.
