Stu­dents thank part­ners

BEL­MONT City Col­lege treated gen­er­ous com­mu­nity part­ners to a morn­ing tea, catered by stu­dents in the col­lege’s spe­cial­ist hos­pi­tal­ity pro­gram.

About 80 guest en­joyed an art dis­play, the col­lege’s Cafe on the Green restau­rant, and en­ter­tain­ment by the se­nior con­cert band.

The guest list in­cluded Work­place Learn­ing host em­ploy­ers, staff from Can­ning Coali­tion, lo­cal pri­mary schools, col­lege board mem­bers, City of Bel­mont rep­re­sen­ta­tives, Ro­tary Club mem­bers and Hos­pi­tal­ity In­dus- try Part­ners.

Bel­mont City Col­lege places ap­prox­i­mately 130 stu­dents in work ex­pe­ri­ence place­ments each Wed­nes­day dur­ing the school year, giv­ing them in­valu­able em­ploy­ment skills through mean­ing­ful in­dus­try ex­pe­ri­ence.
