Path widened to accommodate cyclists
WITH more than 3000 daily bicycle movements, the principal shared path (PSP) adjacent to the Kwinana Freeway in South Perth has been widened to four metres.
Completed last week, the PSP is the heaviest traffick section in the metropolitan area.
More than 700,000 bike movements are recorded on the PSP annually, and the number is growing at about 7 per cent.
As well as widening, a pre-cast concrete wave deflector wall was installed to help minimise river overflow.
