Fundraising run a healthy choice
REDCLIFFE Primary School chose to host a school fun run as a healthy alternative to junk-food fundraising.
The $4000 raised at the August 13 adidas School Fun-Run will be used to purchase sporting equipment.
Deputy principal Steve Daniels said it was the second event of its kind hosted by the school.
“We raised considerable amounts of money both times; this year we were even more successful,” he said.
“We intend to buy various pieces of sports equipment for the students to use to help them to be fit and healthy.
“The school is continually promoting healthy lifestyle choices, so the fun run fitted very well with that message.”
