Kids win place in book

TWO lo­cal stu­dents will have their il­lus­tra­tions in the sto­ry­book, Jake’s First Sleep­over.

Arielle Chant of Cloverdale Pri­mary School and Como Pri­mary’s Erin Leonardi were among the few stu­dents cho­sen from more than 6000 en­tries. Erin’s il­lus­tra­tion was cho­sen as the cover.

Writ­ten by Bec Oak­ley, the book fol­lows the suc­cess of Jake Learns the Tooth and Jake Rides the Roller­coaster.

The il­lus­tra­tions are part of Ther­apy Fo­cus’s an­nual Help a Child Grow Art Com­pe­ti­tion.

Copies of the sto­ry­book and pre­vi­ous years’ sto­ry­books are avail­able from the Ther­apy Fo­cus web­site, with all pro­ceeds go­ing to­wards the Art Com­pe­ti­tion and sto­ry­book project in fu­ture years.

Stu­dents took part in Ther­apy Fo­cus’s an­nual Help a Child Grow Art Com­pe­ti­tion.
