Col­lege cleans up at sport­ing comp

PEN­RHOS Col­lege has claimed its 21st Cham­pion School trophy in 52 years of In­de­pen­dent Girls' Schools' Sports As­so­ci­a­tion com­pe­ti­tion at Chal­lenge Sta­dium re­cently.

Led by Year 12 cap­tains Ope Olu­bo­dun and Jamee Thomas, the girls put in an ex­cel­lent team ef­fort to fin­ish on top by more than 100 points, in front of St Mary’s in sec­ond place.

The stu­dents also won the Lau­rie Pack­ham Trophy for Cham­pion Track School, in a highly com­pet­i­tive car­ni­val that saw thir­teen records bro­ken on the day.

Pen­rhos Col­lege also acted as the host school for the 2014 car­ni­val.
