Tails wagging at new dog park
MASON the cocker spaniel has given the paws-up to a new dog exercise park in Lathlain.
A regular visitor to the park, the local canine, who is a natural in front of the camera, last week demonstrated why it has become so popular with pooches and their owners.
The park, temporarily located on McCartney Crescent in Lathlain, has been open since June and contains a mix of new and recycled equipment, robust areas for dog play and rummaging, as well as opportunities for dogs to test their agility on ramps, hoops, hurdles and tunnels.
Victoria Park Mayor Trevor Vaughan said the Town had in- vested in the equipment for longterm use and a permanent home would be found for it.
“We have not previously had a facility like this in the Town,” he said. “There’s been a great response to its inception, with many locals and people from other areas giving us plenty of positive feedback.
“We will look to move the park to a permanent location, once the Lathlain Precinct Redevelopment Project is under way and another viable space in the vicinity becomes available.” DID YOU KNOW?
