Student to exhibit some fine fabrication
EDITH Cowan University contemporary fashion and textiles student Vynka Topham is one of three young WA designers featured in this year’s Banshu-ORI Collection exhibition. Topham travelled on a scholarship to Japan in March as part of the Western Australia – Hyogo Banshu Textile program, where she collaborated with Japanese textile companies, Ozawa Textile and Naigai Orimono, to develop her own fabrics. She also had the opportunity to meet Australian designer Akira Isogawa, who was there creating his own textile collection. The 2014 Banshu-ORI Collection exhibition is showing at enex100, Hay Street Mall, Perth from October 21 to November 2.
