RUSSIA’S BEST ON SHOW
RUSSIAN Resurrection will arrive in Perth on November 6.
The Russian Film Festival, now in its 11th year, showcases the best of Russia’s film industry, pays homage to the finest in Russian film culture and coincides with the 90th anniversary of Mosfilm, Russia’s inaugural film studio.
To help celebrate the milestone, the festival will exhibit six retrospective films and 14 new films.
Amongst the selection are the 2014 Kinotavr Film Festival Best Film winner Test, Stalingrad, a compelling film on the epic battle between Russian and German forces during World War II, and 1976 Academy Award Best Foreign Language Film winner Dersu Uzala.
The festival runs from November 6-12 at Event Cinemas, Innaloo, tickets are on sale now.
