Earl to hold court with Perth in WAFL

FOR­MER Carl­ton Foot­ball Club premier­ship player Earl Spald­ing has been an­nounced as Perth Foot­ball Club’s new se­nior coach, with pre-sea­son train­ing get­ting un­der way for the Demons next month.

PFC chief ex­ec­u­tive Marty Atkins said Spald­ing had suc­cess­fully coached the Wes­ley Curtin Am­a­teur Foot­ball Club for the past four years.

In his ca­reer, Spald­ing played 314 WAFL/AFL/State games, in­clud­ing 23 fi­nals ap­pear­ances as a coach or player, two premier­ship wins as a player and two as a coach.
