Enjoy night of frights

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - South Perth -

THE phantom will be in the church as the spooks and kooks come out to play this Halloween night.

St Mary’s Anglican Church in South Perth will host a public screening of the classic 1925 silent movie The Phantom of the Opera.

Not only that, resident vampire Alessandro Pittorino will provide a live organ accompaniment.

Pittorino will bring life to the classic silent black-and-white movie.

With no musical score, he will deliver his own musical improvisation as the story of a mysterious phantom that haunts the opera house of Paris plays out on the big screen.

Picture: David Baylis

Organist Alessandro Pittorino and the Reverend John Meagher, rector of St Mary's Church in South Perth, prepare for the special event.
