Leavers farewelled in style
EVERY colour imaginable filled the courtyard at Penrhos College recently as the Year 12 students were farewelled with the college’s annual Flower Day.
Friends, family and fellow students gathered in the school’s Margaret Way Courtyard to celebrate the leavers’ time at Penrhos and wish them well for life after school.
The ceremony included speeches and musical performances, fol- lowed by the students burying a time capsule containing letters they wrote to themselves, to be opened at their 10-year reunion.
The ceremony concluded with the girls being presented with flowers from their family and friends.
Flower Day is part of the Penrhos tradition of ‘leaving well’, which is finishing school in a way that is celebratory, joyful and respectful.
Penrhos College’s courtyard was packed with leavers’
