Camo the new face of PCYC

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Kensington -

KENSINGTON PCYC has a new mascot and with it came the hunt for a name.

The statewide call-out ended with PCYC member Cameron Skinner’s (8) suggestion of Camo the Chameleon, winning him the prize of a new BMX bike.

The mascot will represent all WA PCYC centres and chief executive John Gillespie said it was a celebration of the positive role the centres played in the local community.

“Each PCYC centre and program adapts to suit the needs of the local youth and community,” he said.

“The chameleon was chosen as the mascot to symbolise our ability as an organisation to adapt to any environment and create programs and initiatives that work within that environment.”
