Vol­un­teer now leads

A PAS­SION­ATE Vol­un­teer Task Force (VTF) man­age­ment team mem­ber has been ap­pointed its new chief ex­ec­u­tive.

Kath Snell be­gan vol­un­teer­ing with the Carlisle-based com­mu­nity support agency, which has spent the past 40 years help­ing frail aged peo­ple and younger peo­ple with a dis­abil­ity re­main in­de­pen­dently in their own homes, in 2006 and be­gan her new role this month.

Ms Snell has held a man­age­ment role at VTF for the past eight years and played a key role in the not-for-profit or­gan­i­sa­tion’s growth.

VTF chair­woman Moira Wat­son said her col­league’s pro­fes- sional skills, and fair and proac­tive ap­proach, would help her lead the or­gan­i­sa­tion into its next phase of growth.

“I see that Kath’s pas­sion for and com­mit­ment to VTF will en­able her to build an en­vi­ron­ment of con­tin­u­ous im­prove­ment and growth,” Ms Wat­son said.

“VTF will be well-served with Kath at the helm as we chart our course to­wards greater client pro­vi­sion and build­ing vol­un­teer­ing into the fab­ric of the com­mu­nity.”
