Local talent’s time to shine

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Driveway -

SOUTH PERTH players Alex Rose, Darius D’Silva and Rex Strickland have all been selected by the Western Australian Cricket Association in the 13-man squad to represent WA at the National Under 17 Championships in Hobart from December 1-11.

WACA Talent Manager Brett Jones said the team was an exciting mix of players, who displayed great characteristics.

"They’ve shown they deserve a chance to test themselves against some of the most promising Under 17 players in the nation,” he said,

“Unlucky players have an opportunity to continue to push their claims in Grade cricket and all clubs are doing a fantastic job fostering this State’s talent. selected and nonselected players can be safe in the knowledge that continued performance and development will see them considered for state representation.”
