LIGHT UP THE FUTURE
HOUSEHOLDS around Perth will be shining bright this festive season as part of the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation’s Christmas Lights campaign.
Now in its 12th year, the campaign raises money for PMH Foundation to support research and equipment at the hospital.
More than 50 homeowners around WA helped to raise $98,997 last year by decorating their front yards with everything from fairy lights to reindeers and nativity scenes.
This year, even more families have registered to take part in the campaign, lighting up homes from Geraldton to Meadow Springs.
PMH Foundation chief executive Denys Pearce said the Christmas Lights campaign had become a favourite on the Foundation’s annual fundraising calendar.
“What’s not to love about Christmas Lights; it’s a unique campaign that brings so much joy for both the young and young at heart each year,” he said.
“By attending any of the registered Christmas Lights homes and making a donation, you’re giving an incredibly special Christmas gift to all the children at PMH.”
The campaign will run from December 1 to 31.
