APPLICATIONS for a place in The Gap program for 2015 are now open.

The Actors’ Hub’s special 40-week part-time course runs from February to December and aims to reduce the gap between high school drama and Australia’s leading acting schools, including WAAPA and NIDA.

The Actors’ Hub director Amanda Crewes said The Gap provided a serious focus for those wanting to learn more about the profession in an innovative and professional environment.

“We aim to help people get there, wherever that may be,” she said.

“We want people to feel safe to dream, empowered to dare and inspired to do.”

The Gap 2014 graduate Ciara Taylor said the course had proved challenging and fun while also preparing her for the industry.

Course entry is by audition only and people must be aged 17 years and older.

More information and an audition form for the Subiaco Arts Centre-based course is at www.actorshub.net.

First round offers close December 12. Second round offers close January 16.
