RIVER­VALE res­i­dent Dianne Bartlett’s im­age Pro­ject­ing won her a high commendation in the City of Su­bi­aco Pho­to­graphic Awards.

Her pho­to­graph of a sub­ur­ban wall coloured with sil­hou­ettes of trees was highly com­mended in the Su­bi­aco cat­e­gory.

Her en­try was was cho­sen from 84 fi­nal­ists, se­lected from 288 en­tries from 152 pho­tog­ra­phers in this year’s com­pe­ti­tion.

Mayor Heather Hen­der­son con­grat­u­lated Bartlett and said she was im­pressed with the qual­ity of the en­try.

Bartlett’s son Richard ac­cepted the award on her be­half at a spe­cial cer­e­mony at the Su­bi­aco Li­brary on Mon­day night.

The an­nual com­pe­ti­tion has two cat­e­gories, Su­bi­aco and Open.

Res­i­dents aged six and above can sub­mit up to two photographs be­tween the two cat­e­gories.
