Pharmacist wins award
JEFF Hughes is the first academic from Curtin University to be awarded the Australasian Pharmaceutical Sciences Association (APSA) Medal.
The medal is APSA’s highest accolade to recognise excellence and lasting contribution to the pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice.
Professor Hughes joins a list of Australasian pharmacy luminaries who have received the award since its inception in 2004.
The accredited pharmacist has published more than 200 research and professional papers, and contributed to 17 books.
His research interests include adverse drug reactions, infectious diseases and cognitive impairment and dementia.
